Cement
TXI currently has a cement capacity of 5 million tons. The California expansion project underway will add 1 million tons and, the on-going debottlenecking at the North Texas Plant is expected to add an additional .5 million tons. Once the Central Texas plant expansion is complete within the next 3-5 years, our low-cost, state-of-the-art capacity will be 7.5 million tons.
Aggregates
Our natural aggregates operations with a rated capacity of 27.5 million tons, produce sand, gravel, and crushed limestone from 18 facilities serving the D/FW , Austin and Houston areas in Texas, the southern Oklahoma area and the Alexandria, New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Monroe areas of Louisiana. Expanded shale and clay, our specialty lightweight product is manufactured in 4 facilities and its 1.9 million tons, serves D/FW, Austin and Houston areas of Texas; Oakland/San Francisco and Los Angeles areas in California and the Denver, Colorado area.

Expansion project currently underway and scheduled for completion and online in the late fall or early winter of 2007. This state-of-the-art capacity represents an investment of approximately $358 million. Limestone reserves used as the primary raw material are on property adjacent to the plant and owned by TXI
